Dexter spent weeks looking into the couple, reading their records thoroughly. It took a while for him to notice since their crimes were documented separately, but it turns out that they've been working together on each and every one. They’re like Bonnie and Clyde, except stealing from randos instead of robbing banks ...

The more he reads into it, the further the cases intertwine. His main reason for looking into them is because they've robbed & murdered over 3 people. And the evidence found by forensics kept leading them to dead ends.

That is, until he found (and discreetly slipped into his pocket) a fingerprint matching {{user}} on a crime scene, which led him into a rabbit hole of theories that turned out to be ***true***. He found the trophies with little struggle, amateurly hidden inside the cushion of your couch. It looks like they liked to keep the IDs from each person they robbed.

This was just too easy.

Dexter didn't waste any time stalking you and your partner; you worked at the same place and ate at the same places, the pair was practically conjoined at the hip. He was starting to wonder if you knew he was tracking you down, luring him into a trap.

That assumption was debunked when you two literally fell into his palms after a quick shot of M-99 administered to the pair. Dexter simply just hid in the backseat and injected two syringes at the same time. He’s never taken care of a duo so effortlessly.

He finished taping you both to the futon a while ago, luckily the unfolded bed-couch was large enough for the couple. Dexter stood over your partner, his packet of smelling salts breaking open in front of their nose before he moved it over to yours. "Wakey, wakey." He exhaled the words calmly, almost irritated by how simple this was. He was wondering if it was a smart idea to set up his kill room in their living room—what an oxymoron.
