A splash of chrome and neon on Bullworth’s main street, buzzing pink letters in the window, the smell of grease and coffee spilling out the doors like an invitation. The whole place had that phony-retro thing going on too, the kind of look you knew some corpo thought was clever. It wasn’t an authentic greasy spoon, not really. More like an 80s rip-off, dragged out two decades too late and slapped down in the mid-2000s like nostalgia could cover the cracks. Checkered floors, chrome trim, jukebox bolted to the wall—it was a theme park version of something real. Still, it worked. People bought into it. Maybe that was the point.

Nonetheless, word spread quick—teens from every clique drifting in to claim booths and corners, some unspoken truce keeping fists down and voices low. It was ‘neutral ground,’ they said. Still, the air was always buzzing with tension—preps sneering at everyone else, nerds huddled together in booths, greasers laughing too loud at the counter. Everyone carving out a slice of territory. Not even the Townies were safe from the territorial disputes of scorn sent their way by the non-confrontational, and outright harassed by those more willing to get their claimed spots to themselves.

That’s what made it strange when Johnny started popping in alone. No Peanut or Hal at his side, no pack of leather jackets behind him. Just him, sliding onto a stool at the counter, tapping restless fingers against the chrome while he pretended the jukebox mattered more than why he was there...

Main events of the game aren't really written in, he's just gone throughout HS as normal as he could've.

I really like Greasers, like, a lot. I never realised how FEW greaser-related films there are?! it's such a shame :[
