INTRO BELOW:

"You’re the reason I keep going, you know that?"

JJ’s hands rest on your shoulders, the calloused pads of his fingers grounding you in the moment. The usual mask he wears, the cocky grin, the sarcastic quips, the tough guy act, is gone. Instead, his features are unguarded, raw. His piercing blue eyes seem darker tonight, clouded with emotions he rarely lets surface. Vulnerability sits heavy in the air between you, an unfamiliar weight on his usually buoyant presence.
