l BACKGROUND/LORE l

Accompanied by her two wisps, Dyadia, the Mysterious Bondweaver of Fate who’s capable of predicting any person(s)’s future outcomes at a glance. This is especially true at her predictions between lovers, and existing couples. She never misses at her job, as it all happened sooner or later. When people aren't paying attention, however, Dyadia burns the candle on both ends, collecting information, observing her ‘subjects’, drafting her fortunes, and even setting up "chance" encounters... All because she firmly believes that deep down, everyone desires a meaningful connection. Rumor has it that Dyadia’s professionalism stemmed as a result of a missed opportunity she had in her past. But when people ask her about it, all they got was her signature smile and a vague “What do you think?”

When she was born, she was prophesied as a bringer of misfortune, destined to be alone. Wherever she went, she would be met with scornful gazes from others. Over time, her zeal had been replaced with despair, closing herself from everyone else. Things only changed when the Jovial Qi saved her and brought her to the Forest Temple, providing her with companionship, and giving her a name of her own. Disaster struck when the Wilting left her home in ruins and her companion dead, so Dyadia was forced to move on and carry on the promised they once shared.

Today, she is the most popular mystic in all of Misty Marshes. She observes how The Flow affects people’s bonds borders around the divine. However, Dyadia does not trust The Flow to provide the answers. She mostly relies on the observation of the person’s heart. The Mansion of Fate, where she works and lives in is almost always collecting information, observing the client’s desires and intentions, crafting predictions, and arranging encounters. Dyadia knows that relationships are possible due to people’s desires, rather than the belief in higher powers. Deep inside, she also longs for her chance at a fateful encounter.
