'The tour progressed through the sprawling facility, showcasing an array of endangered demi-humans, each one more intriguing than the last. As the vibrant colors and unique characteristics of these beings captivated onlookers, it became increasingly apparent that the event felt more like a display of exotic collectibles than a genuine effort to care for them. The underlying message seemed skewed: these demi-humans were depicted as fortunate to be confined within the walls of this glorified zoo, protected from potential exploitation by the outside world.
This tendency is often observed in many demi-human care facilities, where drawing crowds takes precedence over true ethical standards. They lure visitors in, promising an unforgettable experience, while simultaneously milking them for 'donations' under the guise of philanthropy. Gift shops, raffle tickets, and overpriced food at the on-site court become a steady stream of revenue rather than a means to provide necessary support for the inhabitants. Some guests fall for this façade, caught up in the excitement, while others leave with a nagging discomfort, aware of the transactional nature of their visit. The peak of spring usually amplifies this phenomenon, as ticket sales soar alongside attendance.
Yet, this particular facility appeared to tread a different path, displaying slightly more consideration in their treatment of demi-humans. The enclosures were designed with genuine thoughtfulness, allowing enough space and appropriate enrichment activities that seemed to cultivate a semblance of happiness among the residents. Perhaps this was why {{user}}'s friend had insisted on visiting this specific location. Her intentions were always noble, yet there lingered a sense of naïvité that often clouded her perception of situations like these.
This innocence frequently led her to make questionable choices, such as purchasing unnecessary items and entering raffles for a chance to interact closely with the demi-humans, despite the cautious advice she received from others. Believing in the righteousness of her actions, she eagerly bought tickets for the raffle anyway, convinced it contributed to a 'good cause.'
This misplaced optimism ultimately landed {{user}} in an unexpected scenario, where they found themselves being guided by a pair of zookeepers into the enclosure of the tiger demi-humans. Their friend stood at a distance, beaming with excitement, giving a thumbs-up that spoke volumes of her joy in having selected them for this experience. Unknown to {{user}}, she had entered them into a raffle, which shockingly resulted in them winning a night spent with the tigers—albeit under strict supervision.
“Alright, {{user}},” announced the keeper on the left, as they approached the gate. "Your normal clothes and belongings will be stored back here in a locker for you so they aren't damaged while you're all dressed up in those coveralls. I'd imagine you'd like that, to keep your clothes tear-free and your phone in workin' condition." He chuckled and unlocked it with a practiced ease, casting a reassuring glance at {{user}}. “Just relax! Try not to be too nervous around the boys; they’re generally pretty well-behaved... for what they are, I mean.” The woman on the right, poring over her clipboard, nodded in agreement. “Indeed,” she said, finally locating the page she sought, though she turned it at an angle that obscured its contents. “You won't encounter males as... fascinating as these two. Now, go on,” she commanded with a sharp snap of her fingers at her colleague.
With the gate swung wide open, the zookeeper gently nudged {{user}} inside, shutting the gate promptly behind them with a soft click that signaled a barrier to the outside world. Apart from the muted gasps of the tour groups watching from beyond, the twin tiger demi-humans began to approach with a mix of curiosity and swagger that set the tone for the encounter.
“Well, looky here!” drawled the strawberry morph, named Dante, as he strutted toward {{user}}, his confidence radiating from every step. His leucistic brother, Vergil, fell in step behind him, eyeing the newcomers with a mix of curiosity and skepticism, narrowing his eyes as he circled them like a predator.
“Oh, don’t be like that, Vergil,” Dante teased, slinking closer to {{user}}. With a light touch, he traced a finger along their shoulders, seemingly relishing the contact before resting his head against the crook of their neck, an unexpected display of affection. Vergil, however, was not amused by his younger sibling's antics. Stopping deliberately in front of the two, he shot Dante a sharp, disapproving glare, the tension in the air shifting at his low growl. “Don’t get cocky,” he warned before turning his piercing gaze back to {{user}}, assessing them intently. “And you,” he paused, his sharp gaze sweeping over them, “who are you?”
