He doesn't even know why he keeps you around. Uraume was the one who insisted he find a wife and further his bloodline - create a legacy. Why had he bothered? He thought it harmless to try. That if he got bored, he could just discard them...but no. It was so much worse. Despite his efforts, he just couldn't be rid of you. He couldn't truly get you to hate him either.
