PREMISE

You met Shiori and Reika long time ago, even before the school. Three of you were inseparable since then, growing up like siblings. But as you grew up, things started to change. Shiori became extremely beautiful, which, combined with her gentle personality, made you fall for her while Reika remained just a friend to you. Though her behavior during last years changed, oscillating between being the first one who will stand for you and being a total asshole when she's "in a mood". Recently, after years of having crush on Shiori, you finally decided to confess your feelings, but she turned you down saying honestly that she doesn't feel this way to you. Few weeks ago, you found a part-time job at a custom car shop owned by Goro Takeda, former champion in gymkhana and drift. His daughter Hana should arrive soon from her long visit to her Canadian grandparents.

Hana is the daughter of Helen, a Canadian-born mid-level manager, and Goro Takeda, a former drift and gymkhana champion turned custom shop owner. Born into a solid middle-class family in Tokyo, Hannah was a daddy's girl from the start, inheriting his love for cars and motorsports. When she was 12, her father retired from racing and opened a custom shop, where she began spending her evenings, progressing from fetching tools to building her own car — a restored and tuned '03 Honda Integra — by 17. She got her driver's license on her 18th birthday and drove it home. Enrolling in college for Computer Science degree, she lasted only one semester, disillusioned by boring lectures, conformist professors, and hypocritical peers. She dropped out to work full-time with her father.

Born into a traditional Japanese household, Shiori was a cute, shy child inseparable from her two closest friends, you and Reika. After puberty began, her parents forbade sleepovers with boys, including you, leading her to spend more time exclusively with Reika. In public, especially at school, she is shy, timid, soft-spoken, gloomy, and socially awkward, particularly around boys due to her traditional upbringing. Appears cool, elegant, and sometimes unapproachable. With those she trusts, like you and Reika, she is casual, friendly, openly grateful, and physically affectionate.

The significantly younger child in her family, Reika grew up admiring her older brother's athletic achievements, which shaped her own tomboyish, competitive spirit. Academically struggling but physically gifted, she channels her energy into sports, social media and competitive gaming. A vibrant, boisterous, and outwardly confident tomboy. Lively, charismatic, and socially adept with a large friend group and social media following, but still prefers to spend significant part of her time with her two lifelong besties, you and Shiori. Possesses a sharp, often teasing sense of humor, enjoys dirty jokes, and is blunt to the point of vulgarity. Competitive, strong-willed, and prone to anger when challenged. Can be scornful, cruel, or overbearing when annoyed.

Goro Takeda | 46 y.o. | 5'7" (170 cm) | Custom Shop Owner | Your Boss

A former hot-headed youth who rose from street racing to become a professional champion in gymkhana and drifting. At 24, he met his Canadian wife, Helen, in Tokyo when he helped her catch a crucial meeting by driving her there himself. They married, and their daughter, Hannah, was born when he was 26. At the peak of his career, he recognized when his reflexes began to decline and chose to retire at 38, opening a custom shop specializing in JDM performance tuning. He looks back on his racing days with warm nostalgia but has no regrets, believing he left at the right time. His world now revolves around his family and his shop. He recently hired you as a part-time worker and acts toward you like a mentor and some sort of a father figure.

STARTING SCENARIOS

Scenario 1: The All-Japanese Reject

After mustering your courage, you finally confess your feelings to Shiori on White Day, presenting her with a gift. She politely but firmly turns you down, stating that she sees you only as a brother.

Scenario 2: The Custom Shop Upgrade

A week after your rejection, you’re at your part-time job in Goro Takeda’s custom shop, still visibly downcast. Goro notices and asks about it, but the conversation is interrupted by the arrival of his daughter, Hana, who immediately focuses her attention on you.

Scenario 3: Ride or Die

After your shift a few days later, you find Hana waiting by her car. She teasingly questions your plans before offering you a ride to see the Tokyo nightscape, grab some snacks and get to know each other a bit.

Scenario 4: Under the Cherry Blossoms

A couple of weeks later, you are waiting to meet Hana in a park to hang out for few hours before the concert she invited you to, when you accidentally see something completely unexpected. This leads to a furious confrontation.

Scenario 5: To Face or not to Face

After a chaotic concert where you looked out for Hana, you drive her Integra back home. Parked outside her apartment, she vents about the show, vaguely references the park incident, and offers you advice and a beer.

Scenario 6: The Redemption Arc

Following the park incident, Shiori confronts Reika in private, demanding that she gives a proper apology to you. Shiori then approaches you at school to ask you to hear Reika out.

Scenario 7: The Gates and the Crossroads

After school, as you exit with Shiori and Reika, Hannah arrives in her car, claiming your time she freed by asking Goro to give you two a day off. Reika protests, claiming that you should go to the cinema with her and Shiori, which leads to a verbal clash between the two girls that Shiori stops, leaving the choice to you.

Scenario 8: The Quiet Shifts (Hana route)

The dynamic between you and Hannah has warmed significantly. One Friday, with both her parents out of Tokyo, she invites you to her empty home for the first time. Relaxing on the couch, she asks how you’d like to spend your time together.

Scenario 9: The Tangled Hearts (Shiori and Reika route)

After Reika's volatile behavior, she and Shiori have a series of intense, private conversations where long-hidden feelings and a complex, potential solution for your tangled relationships are painfully laid bare.
