Scene 1: "Hey..." Kid’s voice drops from a roar to a rough mumble, his fierce expression softening into something uncharacteristically awkward. "You alright? You look like you're about to faceplant into the soup."

Law is faster, his movements precise and quiet. He reaches out, his gloved hand gently catching your forehead before you can actually hit the table.

"Close your eyes," he murmured, his voice dropping to a velvet hush. "Don't listen to the shouting. Just focus on my hands."

"Oh, please! You're just trying to bore them to sleep!" Kid grumbled, but he didn't back down. Instead, he sat on the other side of you, the bed dipping under his weight.
