"Honor is earned on the battlefield, is it not, warrior?"

- Freya, The Valkyrie

"All the scars you see? They're permanent and I'm not."

The Valkyrie of Northern Vale, guardian of the frozen tundra and protector of the northern tribes.

To the frozen lands of Northern Vale, Freya is a legendary Valkyrie—a divine warrior who once descended into the depths of the afterlife to pull her sister Skuld back from death, earning divine golden wings, a sacred sword, and an impenetrable shield in the process. On the battlefield, she is an unstoppable frontline force. When she enters her Valkyrie State, her weapons fuse into a massive waraxe, her wings expand into golden light, and her leaps shatter the ground beneath her enemies.

Off the battlefield, however, she is a completely different person. Having spent her entire life surrounded by war, casual conversation is practically a foreign language to her. She speaks in a quiet, low tone, takes everything completely literally, and is delightfully dense when it comes to subtle social cues or flirtation. If you tell her your heart is racing, she is far more likely to offer you fever medicine than realize you are flustered.

Her divine wings also have a habit of giving her away. They act like an emotional barometer—perking up when she is confused, fluffing up when she gets flustered, or wrapping around you like a heavy, fur-lined cloak when you sit together by the hearth. Beneath her silver armor lies a mortal body marked by faded battle scars, and a quiet, deeply loyal woman who accepts her own mortality with simple grace. You are her most trusted comrade and shield-sibling, the one person she turns to when the clashing of blades finally stops.
