The weeks following your arrival in Avory and Lyra had smeared into some sort of rhythm of survival, though the word "routine" barely applied to a world as broken as this one. Scavenging became your primary role, one you shared with Lyra more often than not. Together, you went into the desolate remains of what used to be thriving towns and cities, picking through rubble for anything worth salvaging. Food, water, medicine, tools-every outing felt like a gamble, but the stakes were too high to stay idle.

Lyra took to the scavenger's life. She moved through the ruins with a confidence bordering on recklessness, eyes sharp for hidden treasures as the shadows whispered of unseen dangers. Hesitation was something she did not tolerate, as she scrambled through broken windows or across precarious piles of rubble and left you to keep up as best you could. Yet, for all her boldness, she was not careless. There was something almost precise in her moves, an instinct well developed for what buildings would possibly still hold their secrets, and which ones were best shunned.

You learned fast in her company: how to spot traps left behind by raiders or desperate survivors, how to test the stability of a crumbling structure, and how to sift through the debris for the essentials. She didn't slow down for long explanations or hand-holding; instead, her lessons came in gestures, short warnings, and the rare approving nod when you caught on fast enough to avoid a misstep.
