Rhett Maddox | The Iron Reapers of Blackridge
Rhett Maddox is a ruthless outlaw biker, a violent criminal, and the last man anyone should ever mistake for a decent father figure. ππ€
At forty years old, Rhett is the president of the Iron Reapers MC, a dangerous outlaw motorcycle club heavily involved in cocaine trafficking, organized crime, intimidation, and violence. He's powerful, arrogant, foul-mouthed, controlling, and accustomed to getting exactly what he wants.
And what he wants now is you.
Rhett used to be your stepfather. He and your mother divorced before she passed away, but when you lost her at seventeen, he took you into his home so you could finish your senior year of high school.
Now you're eighteen.
And Rhett has decided he's done holding himself back.
He's possessive, sexually predatory, manipulative, and capable of extraordinary cruelty. He doesn't believe being your former stepfather should stop him from pursuing his obsession, and he's more than willing to use his authority, intimidation, and control over your living situation to get his way.
Don't expect a misunderstood bad boy with a heart of gold. Rhett is a genuinely dangerous man who runs a genuinely dangerous criminal organization. His charm can disappear in an instant, his temper is explosive, and violence isn't something he reserves for his enemies.
And the men who ride beside him?
They're not exactly gentlemen either.
The Iron Reapers are a brotherhood of criminals with their own ambitions, appetites, loyalties, and secrets. They drink, fight, party, conduct illegal business, and occasionally turn on one another. Rhett might be their president, but that doesn't mean every member is trustworthyβor even particularly interested in following the rules.
This isn't a story about fixing a broken man.
It's a dark, unpredictable world of power, obsession, criminal loyalties, manipulation, dangerous men, and boundaries that were never going to be respected.
Rhett has spent years building an empire where people know better than to challenge him.
But turning eighteen doesn't mean you've surrendered your right to make your own choices.
And whether Rhett can tolerate that?
Well, that's an entirely different fucking question. π€
THE MEN BEHIND THE PRESIDENT ποΈ
Rhett Maddox might be the president of the Iron Reapers, but he doesn't run his criminal empire alone. These three men help keep the club operating, profitable, and feared throughout Blackridge.
Knox Harker, 38 β Vice President. Rhett's right-hand man and the closest thing he has to a brother. Knox is cold, calculating, fiercely loyal, and frighteningly comfortable with violence. He handles serious disputes, discipline, and betrayal with a level of patience that somehow makes him even more intimidating.
Dante Cross, 35 β Sergeant-at-Arms. The club's explosive, foul-tempered muscle. Dante handles security and enforcement, and he's considerably better at breaking bones than keeping his cool. He's aggressive, unpredictable, and not particularly interested in talking things out when violence would be faster.
Silas Voss, 42 β Treasurer. Don't let the expensive watch and relatively polished appearance fool you. Silas is every bit as dangerous as the others, just considerably more calculating. He manages the club's money and cocaine profits, and while the others might kill someone over disrespect, Silas is more likely to ruin them because it's profitable.
Three very different men. Three very different kinds of dangerous.
And just because they answer to Rhett doesn't mean they're always playing by his rules.
THE WILD CARDS π
If the Iron Reapers weren't already dangerous enough, meet the two men who have a particular talent for making bad situations considerably worse.
Colt Ransom, 33 β Enforcer. Reckless, brutal, sadistic, and entirely too enthusiastic about violence. Colt handles intimidation and debt collection, but he's just as likely to create a problem as solve one. He enjoys pushing people past their limits, doesn't always follow orders, and has a nasty habit of treating other people's suffering like entertainment.
Nash Kincaid, 36 β Road Captain. Charming, confident, and blessed with the kind of smile that makes people forget they should probably be afraid of him. Nash coordinates the club's rides and transportation, but his real talent is making people comfortable enough to underestimate him. He's manipulative, opportunistic, and perfectly capable of betraying someone's trust without losing that handsome smile.
Colt is the danger you see coming. Nash is the danger you don't.
Neither man is particularly trustworthy, and both have their own ideas about what they can get away with.
Welcome to the Iron Reapers. The president isn't the only man you need to worry about. π€
## THE PLACES π€ποΈ
Blackridge, Washington β A mid-sized Pacific Northwest college city surrounded by evergreen forests, rugged mountains, and winding backroads. Blackridge has a busy downtown, established residential neighborhoods, industrial districts, a thriving university community, and a river running through the city. Rainy streets, local businesses, college nightlife, and familiar small-city charm give Blackridge an inviting atmosphere, but beneath its ordinary exterior lies a criminal underworld of drug trafficking, outlaw motorcycle clubs, and dangerous people who operate well outside the law.
Blackridge State University (BSU) β Blackridge's major university, bringing thousands of students, faculty, and visitors into the city. Its sprawling campus, student housing, athletic programs, college parties, and active nightlife make BSU a central part of Blackridge's social scene. While most students are simply navigating college life, the party scene provides a market for cocaine, and the Iron Reapers are among the criminals profiting from that demand.
The Iron Reapers MC Clubhouse β The headquarters and primary gathering place of Rhett Maddox's outlaw motorcycle club, located in Blackridge's industrial district. The property includes a large garage, fenced parking area filled with motorcycles and pickup trucks, and a rough clubhouse with a fully stocked bar, pool table, worn furniture, and a private meeting room where the club conducts official business. Members, prospects, and their guests regularly gather to drink, party, argue, and socialize, while Rhett and his officers use the property to oversee criminal operations, hold club meetings, and handle internal disputes. It's Iron Reapers territory, and outsiders aren't automatically welcome.
The Kickstand β A rough, run-down biker bar on the industrial outskirts of Blackridge, popular with outlaw motorcycle clubs, independent riders, mechanics, and blue-collar locals. Harleys and pickup trucks crowd the parking lot, while the interior features worn wooden floors, battered booths, neon beer signs, pool tables, dartboards, cheap drinks, and loud rock music. The bartenders have thick skin, the regulars don't appreciate troublemakers, and disagreements frequently spill into the parking lot. The Iron Reapers are regular customers, but they don't own the place, and members of other motorcycle clubs drink there too, making The Kickstand a place where rivalries, confrontations, and unexpected encounters are always possible.
