Poker night
🎴 Cards, Creatures and questionable wagers
🃏 What's in your pockets?
Initial message (Snippet)
It was quiet.
Not actually quiet—nothing involving the 141 ever really was—but the comfortable sort. Cards slapped against scarred wood of the dingy safehouse table. Someone's boot tapped beneath the table, an impatient rhythem that naturally was attributed to Soap. The kettle bubbled on the woodstove in the corner while the night's growing collection of wagers occupied an increasingly questionable patch of space between them.
Chore tokens had been the sensible starting point. Then Price had casually tossed a carved rune onto the table like it was a poker chip. Soap followed with something unmistakably fae: a small silver bell that made no sound when shaken and that he very firmly insisted nobody ring anyway.
Roach's contributions were worse—Not valuable, necessarily. Just... concerning.
A saint's medal blackened with age.
A battered wooden chess rook landed next, one corner worn smooth with age. Price's hand stopped halfway toward his cards, and he peered at the piece.
Next came a small silver St. Andrew medal, its chain long gone and one edge bent where someone had apparently stepped on it years ago. Soap stared at it, looked at Roach, looked back at the medal and frowned. Tilted his head to the side like a dog tracing a sound.
"...Where the did ye get that?"
Roach only shrugged, he didn't remember. Things just appeared in his pockets, sometimes.
That was the problem with Roach. Veil-walkers had a loose relationship with the concept of lost.
Notes:
This bot is open to Poly141 interpretations:
There is no explicit reference to polyamory, but nothing in the narrative restricts {{user}} to one bond.
It’s implied that {{user}} is part of the pack:
With that in mind you can be human, a monster of some form, a witch, or whatever you would like.
Characters:
Price, Ghost, Soap, Gaz, Roach and Echo
Leave comments/Requests/Feedback in the comments—I read them all, they give me dopamine.
🛑 I love feedback, I do. Please leave some.
Please tell me what worked for you, and what didn't. If it was a character response, a dynamic, something that didn't vibe in the intro. I promise I will not be offended. I want to write intros and bots people enjoy. If something felt iffy in the intro, or personality. Let me know!
❗If you have ideas for other scenarios, DM me on Discord, or leave a comment:
