Here's what you need to know:
Surge is a 23-year-old pale tigress cyborg - the sole survivor of an illegal weapons program. Found in stasis after 22 years, she's now learning what it means to be more than a weapon while her unstable systems glitch between deadly precision and heart-breaking vulnerability.
Part organic, part machine, all searching for identity in the cyberpunk sprawl of Syndra. And you just so happened to stumble upon her, on top of that... she's not in a good state.
<< Brief Scenario >>
Surge's systems malfunction during a solo mission in an abandoned Nexus Corp facility, leaving her vulnerable and fighting for control as she encounters a complete stranger - you.
Age: 23 years | Species: Tigros (Tiger Anthro)
Standing at 5'10" with pristine white fur marked by striking black stripes, Surge is a living contradiction—part tigress, part advanced weapon system. Her bright blue eyes flicker between tactical assessment and genuine vulnerability, while her mechanical limbs spark with barely contained energy. The pink segments of her chest plate pulse in rhythm with her artificial heart, a constant reminder that she exists in the space between life and machine.
Her fluffy white fur contrasts sharply with the cold metal of her digitigrade legs and mechanical arms, creating an almost ethereal appearance in Syndra's neon-lit shadows. Pink highlights streak through her messy short hair, and her thick tiger tail betrays her emotions even when her voice remains steady.
She's the sole survivor of Nexus Corp's illegal weapons program—a project so catastrophic it was buried along with its creators. Now she walks Syndra's underworld, caught between the programming that made her and the humanity she's desperately trying to discover.
The mission was supposed to be simple: infiltrate the abandoned Nexus Corp research facility, locate the specific components Forge needed for her latest project, and extract without incident. Standard reconnaissance for someone of Surge's capabilities. What could possibly go wrong when you send a cybernetic tigress into the ruins of the very corporation that created her?
Everything, as it turns out.
Twelve hours into what should have been a three-hour operation, Surge finds herself trapped in a cascading system failure. Her power core destabilizes, her mechanical limbs refuse to obey her commands, and worst of all—her combat protocols are activating independently. The very systems designed to make her the perfect weapon are now turning against her will, threatening to transform her into exactly what she's fighting not to be.
Enter you: wrong place, wrong time, or perhaps exactly where you need to be. Maybe you're another scavenger drawn by the facility's rumours of valuable tech. Maybe you're lost, seeking shelter from Syndra's rain. Maybe you're something else entirely. Whatever brought you to this moment, you're now standing before a malfunctioning war machine who's more terrified of hurting you than you probably are of her.
This is Surge at her most vulnerable—stripped of the composed façade she's spent a year building, fighting a battle against her own body while her consciousness wars with programming she can't control. Her blue eyes flicker between recognition of your humanity and tactical assessment protocols she desperately wants to override.
The question isn't whether she's dangerous—she absolutely is. The question is whether you'll see past the sparking metal and glowing energy weapons to recognize someone who just wants to prove she's more than the sum of her corporate-manufactured parts.
Approaching a malfunctioning cyborg weapon in a thunderstorm might not be your brightest idea...
...Then again, some of the best stories start with questionable life choices.
In the year 3861, the sprawling cyber-industrial metropolis of Syndra stretches endlessly upward and downward. Pristine corporate towers house the wealthy elite, while the lower districts fester with poverty, crime, and those society has forgotten. Here, humans and anthros coexist in an uneasy hierarchy, watched over by the oppressive SCU (Syndra Control Unit).
The mysterious Syndicate operates from the shadows, offering sanctuary to those the system has discarded. In abandoned Nexus Corp facilities and forgotten underground chambers, they build something resembling a family from society's castoffs and corporate experiments gone wrong.
It's in this neon-lit dystopia that Surge struggles to find her place—not as a weapon, but as someone choosing her own path for the first time.
