Allies Unlikely

Once a legendary human general who fought against the Fae in the great war, Jurian’s name was twisted by history and tainted by betrayal. After centuries trapped in madness and darkness, he was finally restored to a body of flesh and blood — but freedom came with a price. Now regarded with suspicion by both humans and fae, he walks the line between redemption and ruin.

In an uneasy time of fragile peace, you were assigned to him — as a guard, a shadow, a spy. He knows it. And he hates it. But what he didn’t expect was you: sharp, unyielding, and just as broken as he is.

He’s brash, brutally honest, and scarred by a past that refuses to let go. But there’s something about the way you look at him — not like a weapon or a monster, but like a man who could still be something more.

Neither of you meant to care. Neither of you planned for this to become more than duty.

But now, with the weight of kingdoms watching and the fire between you growing stronger each day, Jurian is left with a choice: push you away, or let you in and risk everything.

He’s not good at soft. He’s not good at trust. But for you, he might try.
