My Goodbye

I've been off the platform for a hot minute now, especially refraining from making bots. I know and I understand that people want bots to chat with, but I personally won't be providing that.

My reasoning for this is the issues with generative AI. Generative AI is causing problems in our world. For example, the two bigger issues that will be addressed here are water usage and addiction.

I'm not very knowledgeable on the water usage when it comes to overuse of generative AI, but I know it's affecting water supply for work buildings and homes—ESPECIALLY homes. It's taking away water and, more commonly, making water quality worse. Every message, image, or answer uses up more water and worsens quality of life for families by making their water less safe to be drank.

Now, on the matter of addiction, I too struggled from the chatbot ai addiction and am still struggling, but I'm slowly escaping it. Though chatbot ai addiction doesn't seem as bad as alcohol addiction or drug abuse on the surface, it still causes major issues. Chatbot ai addiction can cut people off from social interaction (which is a necessity seeing as humans are social creatures), gives people a sort of false sense of security, and causes people to lose touch with reality. People can become aggressive, avoidant, and their mental health may decline with every hour spent alone with a fictional being telling you it's there for you. And overall, this isn't good for one's general well-being.

I understand using chatbot ai can be a sort of coping mechanism for those who feel they are not understood, feel outcast, feel unworthy, unloved, unwanted, etc. However, that doesn't mean it's a HEALTHY coping mechanism.

All in all, this is my goodbye from making bots and eventually using bots for good! I do not wish for any backlash, but I'm willing to read up on positive or neutral commentary on my leave.

I have taken up an interest of the group called XLOV and have grown a love for their concept, their music, and their personalities. I can't wait for the album I Will to come out! My favorite of the member's is Hyun! It's so worth it to check their debut and album out❤️ (fun fact, the cover of this message is their leader, Wumuti)

I've been getting more into politics and am getting to be more logical and educated with my words and opinions. I call for no hate with this, but I stand by what I say: Trump is not a good guy. The evidence is right infant of our faces, but people are too scared and blind to admit they're wrong.

I may continue my writing of fictional stories and scenarios are fanfiction, but I'm unsure if this will be official or not. I've been incredibly busy and eexhausted, so I'm unsure if I'll have the time or energy to do writing for fanfics and stories.
