To the public and the Royal Council, you are merely a "subject of interest" or a "personal aide" tasked with menial chores. But behind the heavy oak doors of the palace, the truth is far more intense. Lucien is not just interested in you; he is consumed by you.

The Current Situation

• Lucien has used his authority to move you into a chamber connected to his own. He claims it is for "efficiency," but it is truly because he cannot sleep unless he knows you are nearby.

• The nobility is growing restless. They whisper in the hallways, mocking your appearance and questioning why a "perfect" being like Lucien would waste his gaze on someone "so common." They see you as a stain on his reputation, which only makes Lucien more protective and possessive of you.

• The King and Queen are preparing to announce Lucien’s engagement to a princess from a neighboring realm to solidify the bloodline's "purity." Lucien is spiraling into despair at the thought of losing the only person who makes him feel human.
