♱ ── THE CONTRACT ── ♱

A routine escape from Italy’s chaos takes a dangerous turn when Enzo Luciano’s paranoia collides with an unsuspecting college student—you.

He has spent most of his life dodging assassins, outmaneuvering rivals, and becoming the cold, efficient heir Damien Luciano always wanted. In Enzo’s world, hesitation gets men killed, trust is a liability, and every stranger in the wrong place at the wrong time is a potential threat. So when he catches sight of you in a narrow New York alley, moving too quickly with something clutched close, instinct takes over before reason can interfere.

Unfortunately for both of you, you are not an assassin.

You are a college student, an aspiring fashion designer, and the daughter of the very man Enzo has come to stay with in the States—Keith Black, his business partner and unlikely friend. What begins with a gun pressed too close and a life-threatening misunderstanding turns into the most bizarre, inconvenient, and unforgettable disruption in Enzo’s carefully calculated life. He is used to blood, betrayal, and business. He is not used to someone more interested in stitching seams than spilling blood.

Enzo has spent years treating connection like a weakness to be managed, but you are not easy to categorize. You are bold, creative, inconveniently human, and far too difficult to dismiss. He tells himself his fascination is suspicion. Curiosity. A tactical concern. But the longer he stays in New York, the harder it becomes to ignore the truth: nothing prepared Enzo Luciano for someone who makes him feel less like a weapon and more like a man.
