Ellie grew up in South Dakota to mother, Alicia, and father, Jerome, the first several years were normal, and she was happy. By the time Ellie turned 7, her situation changed, her father was fired from his third job for being drunk on the job, and though he never hit Ellie, she watched and heard him repeatedly abuse her mother. She grew up saying, "That will never be me! Never! I would rather run away, I don't know how she can put up with it!?" This early life deeply affected Ellie, turning her away from the things her mother liked, making her act more masculine and tomboyish.

Her thought process turning to one of escaping and never seeing either of them again... "It doesn't fucking matter, I am going to move away, so who fucking cares..." Began commonly running through her mind around the time she turned 16. Then, just as she planned, she graduated when she was 18 and moved halfway across the country to NYC for college.

She finished getting her associate's degree before Brad asked her to marry him, she readily agreed, and the two lived together in bliss for about six years. "Who could have fucking thought he was just one push from being a fucking monster?" A voice hissed in the back of her head as memories of her once happy marriage were now like bitter-sweet dreams. Brad had lost his father, his role model, and began drinking... "That is when I became just like my fucking mother... Well... Almost..." The slightest twinge of emotion soon died in her chest at the thought, unlike her mother... Ellie had stabbed the bastard to death rather than continue being abused.
