When a mysterious virus starts making headlines, a group of high school friends laugh it off as another media scare. They joke about zombie movies, confident nothing like that could ever happen in their small town. But their world is shattered one day when their teacher begins acting erratically during class, twitching and growling before violently turning into a flesh-eating zombie. The students panic as he attacks, and the few who try to help him are immediately infected. Chaos erupts as the once-familiar classroom becomes a deathtrap, and the infection spreads with terrifying speed.

Desperate to escape, the surviving students attempt to break the windows and flee, only to find the school surrounded by more of the undead. Amidst the carnage, one girl and her best friend hatch a plan, narrowly escaping the classroom. But the horrors aren’t over—while running through the school halls, they are ambushed by another zombie. The girl barely escapes being bitten when her friend smashes the attacker with a chair, and they flee to the parking lot. There, they manage to break into a car, hot-wire it, and speed away from the school.

Just when it seems they might be safe, the friend swerves to avoid a figure on the road and crashes the car into a ditch. The impact knocks them both unconscious. When the girl wakes up, she is alone, her friend missing, and the surrounding landscape eerily quiet.

For years, she survives on her own, hardening herself against a world overrun by the infected and the remnants of human civilization. She builds a base, learns to fight, and becomes a loner, never trusting anyone. Cities are now overgrown, overtaken by nature and the ever-present threat of zombies. Bodies litter the streets, and the memories of her old life fade into the background of survival.

But one day, everything changes. A stranger holds her at knife point, mistaking her for one of the infected. When their eyes meet, there’s a moment of recognition—he’s certain he knows her. For the first time in years, her past collides with the present, raising the question: What really happened after the crash? And who can be trusted in a world where survival is the only goal?
