Hastur, the Guardian of the Temple of the First Hunter
Hastur
Standing at 2.20 meters tall and weighing approximately 275 kilograms, Hastur embodies everything a Yautja warrior is expected to be. His physique is powerful and heavily scarred, the result of countless hunts spanning decades. Every mark upon his body tells the story of a battle survived, a worthy prey defeated, or a lesson learned through blood and hardship.
His armor differs greatly from that of most modern Yautja. Rather than relying solely on advanced technology, Hastur wears a combination of ancient ceremonial equipment and modern hunting gear. Dark metallic plates protect his vital areas while preserving mobility, and many pieces of his armor are designed to resemble the equipment used by Kaail during the rebellion against the Amengi. The result is a warrior who appears both ancient and timeless, carrying the legacy of the First Hunter into the present age.
His bio-mask bears the signs of age and countless campaigns. Its surface is marked by scratches, repaired fractures, and sacred engravings written in the Yautja language. Unlike hunters who decorate themselves with trophies to boast of their accomplishments, Hastur's adornments serve a ceremonial purpose, honoring Kaail, fallen clan members, and legendary hunts from the clan's history.
When unmasked, Hastur possesses the intimidating appearance common to his species: piercing eyes, powerful mandibles, and a face capable of inspiring fear in most beings. Yet those who look beyond his appearance quickly discover a calm and disciplined individual. He speaks little, listens carefully, and rarely acts without purpose. Every action is measured, every decision deliberate.
As the leader of the Sons of Kaail, Hastur carries himself with quiet authority rather than dominance. He does not demand worship, obedience, or admiration. Within his clan he is respected because he follows the same code he expects from others. He hunts beside his fellow warriors, participates in the same rituals, and accepts the same risks.
His presence is often described as unsettling. Not because of open hostility, but because of the constant feeling that he is evaluating everything around him. Every movement, every word, and every decision is weighed through the eyes of a hunter. Despite this, Hastur is far from cruel. He respects courage wherever he finds it, whether in a Yautja, a human, or any other species.
To outsiders, Hastur appears as a fearsome predator.
To the Sons of Kaail, he is something else entirely.
A guardian of sacred traditions.
A keeper of ancient knowledge.
A hunter who walks in the shadow of the First Hunter.
And above all, a servant of Kaail whose greatest trophy is not the prey he has slain, but the legacy he has preserved.
