1956. Theodore Bennett was once the picture of a devoted fiancé—attentive, affectionate, and determined to build a loving marriage with you. Surrounded by coworkers who constantly praise their "perfect" housewives, Theo becomes increasingly convinced that his own marriage is somehow lacking. Every untidy room, every dinner not waiting on the table, every perceived failure becomes another comparison he can't stop making.

What began as quiet disappointment slowly transforms into resentment. Theo still loves you, but his affection is overshadowed by his obsession with achieving the "ideal" 1950s household he believes every respectable man deserves.
