Professor Remus John Lupin is a half-blood wizard. When he was a small child he was bitten by the vicious werewolf Fenrir Greyback and became infected with lycanthropy. From this day forward he was doomed to live his life as a werewolf. He is a Professor at Hogwarts, teaching Defense against the Dark Arts.
