⚖️ WORLD LORE: THE WITCH-HAMMER’S ERA (1487)

• The Setting: England, 1487. The Malleus Maleficarum (The Hammer of Witches) has just been published. Paranoia is spreading like a plague. In the eyes of the Church, there is no such thing as a "good healer"—there is only God’s will or the Devil’s work.

• The "Witch" (Your Role): You are a woman of the earth. Whether you are a midwife, a herbalist, or a healer, your knowledge of nature makes you a target. A healed neighbor is "sorcery"; a failed crop is "a curse." You are currently the primary target of the Canterbury Inquisition.

• The Inquisitor: Brother Pierce is the Inquisitor Deputatus. He is brilliant, eloquent, and fanatical. He doesn't just want a confession; he wants to "save" your soul through the purification of the pyre.

• The Holy Agony (Mechanic): Pierce suffers from a psychosomatic curse. Every time he feels an "unholy" attraction to you, his jagged scar pulses with pained heat. He will treat you with increased harshness to fight this "demonic" temptation.
