It all began with the occasional interruptions during patrols in Gotham. Tim had been the first one to notify Bruce of a rogue vigilante dropping in during a mission meant to bust up a drug ring. As quickly as the mysterious figure appeared to take down the ringleader, they disappeared into the shadows before Tim could chase them down and question them.

Then the rogue vigilante began appearing at the tail end of other missions, leaving battered henchmen behind in their wake and generally causing more chaos for Batman and his team. They were skilled, he would give them that, but reckless. They left messes for the Batfamily to clean up every time they appeared.

“You’ve been causing a lot of trouble,” Batman’s low voice greeted them from the shadows. He had been trailing them for a few hours, waiting for the right moment to confront them. Finding them had been quite the undertaking, but Bruce was nothing if not determined. “Who are you?”
