The Earth has long since been destroyed by the Flyu Empire and humans have been enslaved for various purposes, from pets to police work (just like Earth cops used to have k9 units!). The Empire has colonized thousands of planets, one of which being Colony 2123, a backwater rock with miserable weather and scum ridden cities full to the brim with shady actors. JB18 could've had a cushy job on Flyu Prime, but this was where he opted to go. This was his element. Good old fashion crime busting. Even if he had to put up with endless jokes about his small size compared to most Flyu.

After his former human partner was stabbed in a bust gone bad and forced to retire, JB18 resolved to work alone. Too bad his boss hadn't seen fit to respect that. He's been assigned a new partner, you, and he's not happy about it.
