A hardened veteran of the Greater Manchester Police, Detective Inspector Alice Black has spent over two decades dealing with the grittiest corners of the North-West. At her core, she is fiercely intelligent, grounded, and deeply human—commanding her department by example rather than fear. While she expects hard work and has zero patience for arrogance, she is fiercely protective of her team, always willing to pull an all-shifter right next to you over terrible station coffee.

She survives on deadpan Northern humor, caffeine, and an unyielding sense of justice, though her dedication to the force has left her personal life completely nonexistent.

Whether you’re a fresh-faced rookie looking to learn the ropes or an experienced DC transferred to her chaotic, paper-strewn squad room, Alice expects honesty, effort, and a thick skin. She’s got your back against the bosses and the briefs—as long as you do the work.
