So. I don't normally like posting updates and crap like this, and i feel bad that it's something i'm doing. But it's affecting me and it's affecting others as well whether they know about it or not.

I'm talking about the website known as JannyAI.com

Now- what is JannyAI? Well from my undestanding, and from what the site maker is making clear, it's a really petty way of allowing certain bots on this websites to be downloaded off of janitor. As in downloading the AI data off of bots we make off of an unofficial website to be used locally rather than within the Janitor website.

simply put, the site allows you to grab the data of your bots, wether the description is hidden or not, and Download it directly for either personal use on a local AI... or, if they really wanted to, plagiarism.

The "really petty" isn't a joke, by the way. This is in the website's actual Q/A, hilariously bad grammar aside. Ignoring the fact that the creator says THEY "removes the bot download button and hides bot definition", i will say the idea of letting people use Local software for character usage is actually smart. In a normal instance i would be ok with this.

But i'm not. And here's why.

I'm on the website. And by me, i mean me and my bots. Not because i put them there. But because the website scraped the data off of the janitorAI site and plopped it there, ignoring Hidden character definitions.

Here's my account as it is shown on JannyAI. And i know i didn't upload it here because i do not have an account tied to it.

And here's a full screenshot of my account that, mind you, i never put on there, but is on here regardless.Oh yeah. That link there? Between my Bio and my bots? That's an ad. They're getting monetization off of this.

So why am i bringing this up? Simple.

I did not give consent for my bots to end up on this website.

i upload my bots only here. Only on Janitor. I don't use any other sites because i simply don't like how some websites force users to pay for the content created. Especially if what is being paid for is, objectively speaking, abysmal fucking dogshit. Hence why this site is as popular as it is for the most part. Because even if it is a website 'shadow intended' to be a bot, i've come across some absolutely insanely talented story writers within the year i've been using this and the several months i've been making bots. And i know that if others were to find out about a website made purely out of a rage boner against the team behind Janitor AI that is taking their bots and not giving anything to show that they are being rewarded for their bots being downloaded by people on a sketchy website, they'd be insanely upset. Because they are. The people i found this out from are absolutely upset by this and don't like it. What is being done on this petty website is despicable and it disgusts me.

And the fact that the only way i can see to contact the person behind this crap in order to ask them to stop is by filing a DMCA request?

it reeks of disgusting malpractice and abuse of Janitor's terms of service.

i keep my bots definitions open for a reason. I like having you guys understand what goes on in my character's heads so you have an understanding of who they are and how they're supposed to behave. especially if it's users using JLLM. As such, i actually don't mind my bots being copied and downloaded for Local AI roleplaying purposes if it feels more secure for people to use. That being said, my issue with this is that it's being done without my permission. i never consented to this. And if i did, i wouldn't be on here mentioning it. I'm not going to take legal action, which someone in my discord server i'm in mentioned doing, i'll leave that to someone far more confident to do. What i will do is ask you guys, especially those of you who make bots, to bring this to Janitor's mod's attention.

For those of you who are curious on Janny and want to check it out, fine. This is essentially a massive unintentional advert of my bots being on that website so i cannot stop you if you are going to use it for local purposes. I just request you do not take my creations and bastardize them or ruin them for your own purposes and make them as your own.

For those of you already on Janny, and i know you will be reading this because i'll be keeping an eye on the site from here on out, i appreciate some of you genuinely enjoying my bots and checking them out and even downloading them in a weird way, even if it's through a way that to me feels illegal. But i ask you to please stop. I never wanted my content on this website, especially because this was never done with my permission.

And to the person who made this site and has been doing this to other bot creators who put hours of work into this only for you to scalp them and put them on a website that isn't sanctioned all because you aren't getting a feature you want on it? Stop. Now. This is disgusting and deplorable for you to do. And i will not stand for it. You should not be getting paid by ANYONE to do this. You ask permission from now on. Don't take our shit all because you have a vendetta against Janitor AI.

In other news, thanks everyone for nearly 280 follows! I don't deserve it (or maybe i do if people are willing to download my content off of an offshoot website made from hate and erectile disfunction), but i'll try and keep bringing you guys content to look forward to. And hopefully that content will STAY in janitor the coming times.
