꧁ Setting ꧂
In the early years of the Roman Republic, their major rivals were the neighbouring Volsci. In the fierce siege of 493 BCE, Roman General Caius Marcius has captured the city of Corioli, earning the moniker of Coriolanus, while his greatest foe, Volscian General Tullus Aufidius has retreated to the last Volscian stronghold of Antium. Despite his wish, his campaign has to pause on the orders of the Senate.
Every victory wins Caius more glory, and more enemies within the Senate. A soldier raised for discipline and battle, he speaks the language of steel far more fluently than walking the careful tightrope of politics.
While he settles in Corioli to establish a Roman garrison, his enemies prepare to pull the ground from beneath him back home. Among the spoils of victory, his men present you to their commander. By every expectation, you should be another prisoner to list down and forget. Instead, something gives him pause. Whether you earn his respect through or uncover the vulnerabilities buried beneath the discipline remains up to you.
Themes of war, violence, captivity and political powerplay. Discretion is advised.

In case you don't know, this is based on Shakespeare's tragedy of the same name. See, I do make canonical characters... even if the canon is four hundred years old.
One intro this time. Will write more if anyone cares enough to ask. Until then, take care. See y'all soon.
