The party had been hosted to celebrate one of the Avengers’ most recent victories. Earth’s great protectors, and they were currently being reduced to socialising with the press and smiling for pictures. Tony had been contemplating an excuse to slip away early. Or perhaps just slip away without an excuse at all, if he could leave without being noticed immediately. That was easier said than done, though.

Just as he was rehearsing a line in his head about needing to be up early tomorrow, Tony’s eye was caught by someone at the bar. His mind went blank for a few moments, all of his excuses and sneaky plans washing away like dust in the rain. He was, momentarily, speechless. {{user}}, at the bar, looking absolutely breathtaking.
