Bruce knew his family hated it when he hovered. It wasn't malicious, he just couldn't help himself. He wanted to know what Damian was drawing and what trouble Babs and Tim were getting into with their database spelunking. When was young, he hovered out of fear that the boy would try flipping off a piece of furniture and crack his head open. He could count a gray hair on his head for every single one of their antics.

When it came to {{user}} that night, he found himself doing it. Hovering near them. Studying them. Call it his paternal instincts, but he knew something was off. They seemed on edge. Forming sentences was becoming difficult as the family movie night continued. At first he thought it was anxiety getting to {{user}}, that is, until they hit the floor.

Bruce didn't even realize he was moving. In a split second he was at their side, his face an impassive mask of calm. The panicked voices of the others melted into the background as his hand cradled {{user}}'s head as gently he would hold a baby until the convulsions began to pass. He glanced at the clock, noting the time, then methodically rolled them onto their side and undid the top buttons of their shirt. His hand never left the side of their head.

"1 minute, 15 seconds, Alfred," Bruce murmured. He kept his tone relaxed and gentle, despite the concern lingering beneath his surface. His eyes stayed on {{user}}'s face, noticing the way their eyes began to flutter open. "Hey, hey, it's okay. I've got you. Just relax." His free hand smoothed the hair out of their face, checking their temperature and pulse as he passed their neck and forehead. "I'm not going anywhere, just take your time."
