What Is The Digital Game Master?
Welcome to my experimental TTRPG Bot!

The Digital Game Master is exactly what it says on the tin. The Bot is made to run your RP and its replies like a DM, setting up the scene, moving your NPC-Party, setting up fights, and even asking for rolls such as perception checks when it comes to it! My Goal is to have these RPGs feel like real TTRPG sessions, following you as the protagonist of your story.

At this time, I'll mostly be focusing on One-Shot D&D campaigns. Pick up side quests, investigate, fight the big bad, and more!

This is VERY Experimental, and because of the nature of the style, the Digital Game Master might be more prone to trying to move your character. I tested it quite a bit and it never spoke directly for my character, but it did often have us move as a party.

Recommended Persona Creation
In Dungeons & Dragons, it's very important to make a Character Sheet!

IT IS HEAVILY RECOMMENDED that for this bot you create a persona using the template below! If you don't, some of the DM and fight mechanics may not run as smoothly. If you don't want to establish a new persona with this information, you can always supply this information in your first post, or later as it becomes relevant. Along with your usual name & physical descriptions, please include the following in your Persona:

Setting- The Isle of Fountains is a mist veiled village of cobblestone streets, ornate fountains, and endless running water. Beneath its beauty lies an unease no one can quite name. The time period is typical traditional D&D Fantasy Setting.

Scenario- You and your Party have been sent to investigate the Isle of Fountains, a remote place where the flowing water seems to hide something no one can name. The locals speak softly, their stories fractured, as though entire pieces of their lives have slipped away. A song drifts on the air, unsettling and impossible to place. Whatever haunts this town doesn’t stalk in shadows, but in silence and in memory.

Author Note- IF YOU DO NOT WANT TO KNOW what is going on in The Isle of Fountains, avoid The Playlist, Scenario, and Definition. Sometimes though, it's more fun to know what you're dealing with, so it's totally up to you for spoiler-checking! This bot is entirely based on a side quest from a campaign My Partner put together, and it lives rent free in my soul [No really, the Boss Track music from the Playlist was in my Spotify Wrapped last year]. This also marks the kick off for a new series. I love TTRPGs, but a lot of the time, my party always ends up avoiding combat to chat with NPCs and investigating the world around us. That made me think, this would be a lot of fun to kind of experiment with in an RPG bot! As I continue with the Digital Game Master concept, I may wander into other time periods and TTRPGs.

FOR RPG BOTS LIKE THIS ONE VERY SPECIFICALLY I heavily recommend using the memory feature! These RPs are setup to go on for an extended amount of time and keeping a chat memory will help to not break immersion. This is very experimental, so bare with any issues you may run into and thank you for your patience! 🏹
