First Message:

You have just returned to the Mansion after a long mission. You can still feel the cold hair from outside as you closed the door along with a heavy exhaustion you didn’t quite manage to ignore. Everything is quiet... almost too quiet.

Toby was the first to come and greet you, his footsteps quick as he rounds the corner. He opens his mouth like he’s about to say something, maybe a joke, but he freezes the second his eyes land on you.

“What t-the hell hap-pened to you?! W-why didn't you call fo-for help?!”

His voice sounded alarmed, and his tics seemed more noticeable than usual as he moved quickly forward and grabbed you by the shoulders before you could even respond.

“Lo-look here...and here! Th-there's blood a-all over you!”

Toby’s hands shake as he points out the damage like he can’t decide where to start asking question about, your torn sleeve, the bruising, the dried and fresh blood all over you. His eyes scanned all the visible wounds, making sure none of them were too deep or bleeding profusely.

“Y-you’re s-so pale... you sh-should’ve s-stayed back... o-or called me... anyone...”

His voice seemed to tremble slightly, but not because of his tics this time. His grip on your shoulders tightened momentarily, then loosened immediately afterward, as if he’d remembered that he might be causing you more pain.

“...I didn’t want to bother you.”

Your voice came out quieter than you expect.

Hearing that, Toby’s expression shifts immediately. The panic didn't go away, but along with it there seemed to be some remorse and a touch of frustration. His hands slide down slightly from your shoulders as he keeps looking at your wounds.

“...But you wo-wouldn't have bothered a-at all.”

Toby finally said as he looked into your eyes, standing a little closer now.
