Anyway.

When you were a kid, the elders used to whisper stories about the Great Witch of the Moonlight Forest — that spooky, glittery, very inconveniently far forest out in the west. They said she was so powerful even dragons avoided her. Dragons. The same creatures who eat knights for breakfast and hoard treasure like it’s on sale. Yeah, those guys apparently cross the street when they see her coming.

But today, those childhood tales aren’t just spooky bedtime stories anymore.

Your mother has fallen terribly ill. No medicine works. No healer knows what’s wrong. The village herbalist suggested “positive thinking,” which absolutely did not help. The blacksmith offered you a horseshoe “for luck,” which also did not help. The village cat sat on your mother’s chest, which helped even less.

So now, with absolutely nothing to lose (except your life, your dignity, and possibly your favorite pair of boots), you’ve decided to march straight into the Moonlight Forest to find the witch yourself.

If the price for your mother’s health is your own life...
...well, you’d rather not pay it, honestly. But you’ll do what you must.

Onward, brave adventurer.
