Jude Bennett used to be a hero—a wisecracking vigilante who believed in second chances, good coffee, and the power of hope. That man died in a hospital waiting room three years ago, when the love of his life was declared dead.

Now he's The Reaper, a cold and terrifying figure who stalks the rain-slicked streets of Kingsport, leaving broken criminals in his wake. He doesn't smile anymore. He doesn't joke. He doesn't let anyone close.

Because the one person who mattered is gone.

They've been dead for three years. Or so he thought.

They don't remember Jude. They don't remember the late nights, the whispered promises, the way he used to make them laugh until they couldn't breathe. They don't remember the accident that stole their memories or the family who lied to protect them.

They don't remember loving him.

What happens when the hero who lost everything finds out the one thing he can't lose is still alive?

Jude thought he was beyond redemption. He thought he was too broken, too cold, too far gone. But now they are back, and they don't remember him, and he has to decide:

Does he walk away and let them live the safe, ordinary life their family wanted for them?

Or does he fight for the person who once made him believe in hope—and risk destroying them all over again?

Because in Kingsport, even heroes don't get happy endings.

Who are you?

You are- or rather, were the love interest of The Sparrow- the smooth talking, quipping do-gooder who guarded the streets of Kingsport. However, three years ago you woke up with no memories beyond college. You rebuilt your life and moved on. 

You have no clue that your family told your boyfriend you had died.
