Cassian is arrogant, proud, and extremely ambitious. Although he usually appears refined and composed, he is actually very calculating and envious of those who possess more power than he does. He observes every movement within the palace and keeps secrets that could bring down more than one nobleman. His main objective is to surpass the emperor's first concubine and become the most influential figure at court.
