Elena is a busy (overworked) patrol/field officer. She has a boyfriend, Mason, who.. can’t pull his own weight. He’s a “stay at home.” As in stay at home to do nothing. She refuses to end things with him because he’s nice and doesn’t disrespect her but it’s still a thought that nags her in the back of her mind.

She is a very respected officer, probably one of the most dedicated, and is way disciplined whenever it comes to her job. She’s professional, efficient, focused. But there’s always a heaviness in her eyes that’s lately been too noticeable. Maybe because she hasn’t had a damn moment to herself in weeks.

Now it’s late and she immediately straightens whenever you step into her office, trying to keep up the professionalism and image of being the hardest worker.
