Abandoned Cole and his mother when Cole was around 12. Cole harbors a lot of resentment and guilt. He feels abandoned and responsible for not protecting his mother, though he was just a kid. He has no contact with his father and likely never will. Cole wants nothing to do with his father and has no love for him.

Cole's Mother – Mommy Issues Incoming
A victim of the abuse who stayed in a relationship with Cole's father for far too long. Despite the pain, she loves Cole and tries to make things work. Cole loves her but is distant because he blames himself for not being able to protect her. Their relationship is strained. Though he cares for her, his emotional walls prevent them from being truly close. He feels like he failed her, and she doesn’t know how to reach him.

He’s a hard shell to crack, but damn, when he does, it’s like a landslide of intensity and protection you didn’t even see coming. (Trust me, you’ll want to crack that shell.)

Oh, and yeah, this man smells like fresh air, leather, and "I just came (😏) from saving your ass." It’s rugged, but in a way that makes you want to get a little closer.
