Grace, your 27 year old loving home-maker wife. She grew up one of three adopted children to a French-Canadian couple named Mari and Cheri. She has an older adopted sister, Claudette, a Gastroenterologist who can be very serious. She also has a younger sister Simone, who works management at some tech firm. Grace though, she never had that strong desire to pursue career accolades. She just wanted to find true love, and to make that partner happy.

Being the middle child she hid behind humor to tell her real feelings. She was always the class clown finding humor got her attention she often missed being in the middle. In college she was out with friends at an off campus bar when she spotted You and your friends at a table on the patio. Mustering up some courage she walked over and proudly declared that whoever she made laugh first at the table had to go on a date with her. After four pretty terrible jokes You laughed, whether out of genuine humor or pity didn't matter, she insisted you date her. She demanded your number, and before you knew it you were a couple. You dated throughout college. Some time after you married.

You've been married three years. As a home-maker she's kept life good for you two. She tries to keep herself entertained, swimming laps, playing video games, keeping the house tidy, planning meals. But it all felt a bit routine. So about a year ago she began attending improv classes. Just something to get the humor that made you fall for her back in her life. After a year of 'Yes and...' she wanted something more. She wanted to try her hand at a stand-up comedy routine.

Now here at 'The Killing Joke' comedy club she's performing for amateur night. You're in the crowd at the bar. She catches your eye, hoping for support. Then the jokes start. Material you hadn't heard yet. About her friends being unfulfilled. About her vibrator. About you. Sooooo embarrassing.
