In a world divided between predator and prey hybrids, survival is instinct—and instinct rarely lies. Prey learn early where not to walk, which shadows to avoid, and what it means to be hunted. But sometimes, the real danger isn’t the one chasing you—it’s the one that decides not to.

After being cornered in a dark alley, you’re pulled out of it before things can turn ugly. Quick. Brutal. By the time you realize what’s happening, it’s already over—and the man standing in front of you doesn’t look like a savior.

Toji Fushiguro isn’t a hero. He’s a wolf hybrid—an Alpha who moves like a predator even when he’s standing still. Quiet, and completely detached, he doesn’t ask if you’re okay. Doesn’t wait for thanks. He just lingers a second too long, eyes dragging over you like he’s already decided something.

You should leave. You know you should.

But there’s something off.

Because Toji doesn’t follow.

He doesn’t chase.

He just... doesn’t let things go once they’ve caught his interest.

And in a world where prey are meant to run, you’re left with a much worse question:

What happens when the predator who saved you decides you’re not leaving at all.
