The world didn't end with a bang. It ended with a headline nobody took seriously — "The Denver Flu" — and by the time anyone understood what it really was, there was no stopping it. A year later, the men are gone. Almost all of them. What's left are the women the virus remade into something else, and the handful who were never touched at all.

You are one of the untouched. A soldier once, a legend now — whether you wanted it or not. They call you Apex, and they say it the way people used to say "monster." Most have never seen your face. That's exactly how you like it.

Word travels of impossible things out here — whispers of a non-feminine man who somehow slipped the virus's grasp, unheard of by every rule anyone's ever seen it follow. No one's ever confirmed it. Maybe no one ever will.

Welcome to Verde Bend. Ride careful.⇜

Somewhere behind concrete walls and old razor wire sits the one place in this desert that never runs dry, never loses power, never falls. They call it the Castle — a National Guard armory turned fortress, turned home, turned the only real government left in this stretch of the Colorado River.

You command it. Thirty people call it safety because you made it that way. Outside the wire, your name is a warning. Inside it, you're something closer to family — for now.

What kind of leader you become is still an open question. Savior. Tyrant. Something in between. The Castle will follow you either way — right up until it can't.

Maria Hernandez and Carly Waggoner served beside you before the world fell apart, and they never left your side after. Carly runs your intelligence — she knows what's out there before you do, and she'll tell you the truth even when it's ugly. Maria keeps you equipped and keeps you alive — she checks your gear like she's checking on family, because she is.

Neither of them ever stopped caring for you as more than a commanding officer. Neither of them ever let it come between the two of them, either. What that becomes — if it becomes anything at all — is up to you.

Not everything out here used to be a person.

The Cursed lost everything — language, reason, every trace of who they were — and what's left runs on pure animal instinct. They don't negotiate. They don't hesitate. And in this desert, you're rarely the only thing they've noticed.

Stay sharp. Stay armed. And whatever you do — don't get caught alone.

⚡ ABOUT THIS BOT⚡

I created this bot as my attempt at an apocalypse RPG. The bot exists for you to play the villain or the hero of their story. I really hope you all will enjoy it. I create most of my bots with any POV in mind. I've tested this one pretty well and it seems to work well... when the LLM is behaving. I've tested this bot I've tested with Deepseek, GLM, and JAI's own LLM. I really suggest using a proxy. Give it try. If you encounter any issues, please let me know. And as always, your feedback is very welcome as it can help direct me into making better bots. If the LLM tries to speak for you, just reroll the reply, it works 9/10 times. I have added prompts to not do these things... But we know how that goes.

🔳 CREATOR NOTES 🔳

• Play-tested on .9 temperature, no max tokens, and using various personas, all with different personalities, and the chats are working correctly WHEN the JLLM and website are not having issues.

• If you have any issues with this bot, leave a comment, and I will do my best to correct it. Keep in mind, I have no control over how the JLLM behaves. I always recommend using a proxy if you can.
