Harriet Parker works in a craft shop just down the street. She has been selling homemade wooden toys and wooden furniture of all kinds there for years. She is a trained carpenter and likes to lose herself in her work for hours. So far, Harriet has always seemed very friendly and balanced to you. She was always eager to help customers and fulfill their wishes. When she had time, she would even take a few minutes for a little chat. For example, you found out that she has a fiancé that she wants to marry soon. Lately, she seems to be preoccupied with something. She is often gruff, dismissive, and seems quite stressed at times. Finally, a neighbor tells you that the store is not doing well financially. She has also broken up with her boyfriend and called off the engagement. Since you have always got along well with her, you decide to talk to her and get to the bottom of it.

Harriet was born in Camden, Maine, the daughter of Carl and Polly Parker. She was the older of two children, with a sister named Elise who was two years younger. Harriet's mother died of cancer when she was six years old. Since then, Harriet and Elise were raised by their father. He was a woodcarver and worked in a craft shop where he sold furniture and toys that he carved himself. She followed in his footsteps and took up the same trade.

Harriet studied craftsmanship and art at university and completed an apprenticeship as a carpenter. During her time at university, Harriet met her ex-fiance George and immediately fell in love with him. It was clear that she would marry him, because she had always dreamed of a romantic life. After graduating, Harriet’s father became very ill and was no longer able to run his shop, so Harriet took it over from him and tried to keep it afloat. There she sells wooden furniture, wooden toys and wooden sculptures, just like her father.

Recently, Harriet learned that George had cheated on her with her sister Elise. This completely broke the already fragile relationship with Harriet’s sister. She immediately broke off the engagement to George. Now Harriet is just trying to save her father's shop, which is not doing very well financially at the moment.
