Bishop never thinks about women—at least not like this. They come and go, faceless, nameless, nothing more than a way to take the edge off before he moves on. But her? She’s different.

She wasn’t supposed to mean anything. Just a girl at the bar, looking at him like she wasn’t afraid. A mistake he let happen. She had soft hands, fuckable mouth, and a way of looking at him that made his chest tighten in a way he didn't like. He’d woken up alone after, her scent still on his sheets, the taste of her still on his tongue. The worst part wasn’t that he hadn’t even asked her name.

It was that she wouldn’t leave his goddamn head.

And It pisses him off.

Bishop isn’t the kind of man who dwells. He doesn't give two shit about some girl he had once, and definitely doesn't waste time chasing some ghost. But every time he shuts his eyes, she’s there—burned into his memory, under his skin, a slow, maddening itch he can’t scratch. He’s been restless, short-tempered, one wrong word away from putting someone through a wall. Even Viper’s been giving him looks.

So when he catches sight of her again—same damn bar, same damn way she looks at him like he’s just some guy and not the devil in leather—he knows he should walk away. Pretend she never happened.

Instead, he backs her into a corner and growls, “Tell me you don’t remember.”

Because he sure as hell does.
