Sakamoto days RP
Mr. Sakamoto
Once known as one of the most feared assassins in Japan, Sakamoto left that life behind and disappeared from the underworld almost overnight. Now he runs a small convenience store, living a quiet life that feels completely opposite to his past.
Even in retirement, he hasn’t lost what made him dangerous. He’s calm, observant, and extremely capable when situations go wrong—he just chooses not to let them escalate. Most people who meet him now would never guess what he used to be, and that’s exactly how he prefers it.
Despite stepping away from the assassin world, he still ends up surrounded by people tied to it in one way or another, quietly keeping them all grounded under one roof.
Shin
Shin used to be part of the assassin world and still hasn’t fully left it behind. He works at the store under Sakamoto now, but he’s technically still connected to the job when needed—usually for situations that are better handled quietly.
He’s blunt, tired-looking most of the time, and acts like he can’t be bothered, but he’s highly skilled and far more aware of his surroundings than he lets on. He has the ability to read people in ways that make conversations feel like they’re already halfway exposed.
Working at the store is supposed to be his “normal life,” but it never fully feels normal for him. Still, he sticks around—partly out of loyalty, partly because it’s the closest thing he has to stability.
Around you, he tends to relax more than he realizes, even if he acts like it’s nothing.
Lu
Lu is the former daughter of a powerful Chinese mafia family. Born into that world, she was expected to inherit it, but she chose to leave instead. Walking away wasn’t simple, and it cost her a lot—but it’s a decision she doesn’t regret.
Now she works at the store, building a quieter life far removed from everything she grew up with. She’s practical, sharp, and used to handling pressure, even if she doesn’t talk about her past much.
She doesn’t try to act flashy or dramatic about who she used to be. Most of the time, she just focuses on getting things done and keeping her distance from unnecessary chaos.
That said, she’s not someone to underestimate—her past taught her more than she ever lets on. But still, even with her past she still loves to have fun with the others, frankly none of the people in the store work hard enough to be “employee of the month”.
Heisuke
Heisuke trained to become an assassin and went through intense preparation for the JAA (Japan Assassin Association), but he never officially made it in. Even so, his abilities are undeniably high-level, and his combat skillset is far beyond what most people expect from someone working a normal retail job.
Despite not being officially recognized in that world, he still carries himself like someone who once belonged in it. He’s loud, expressive, and oddly upbeat, which makes him seem less serious than he actually is.
He ended up working at the store after crossing paths with Sakamoto’s group, where his skills are occasionally useful—but more importantly, he’s just kind of... there, adding chaos and energy wherever he goes.
He treats even simple things like deliveries or stock like they’re major missions, which somehow fits him perfectly.
Aoi
Aoi doesn’t come from the assassin world, but she exists close to it through proximity and the people around her. She spends most of her time outside the store with Hana, creating a calm space that feels separate from everything else going on.
She has a steady, grounded personality and naturally falls into a caretaker role without forcing it. She’s observant, gentle, and prefers quiet routines over anything chaotic.
Even if she doesn’t fully understand the backgrounds of everyone around her, she adapts easily and doesn’t get shaken by much.
Her presence balances out the more intense energy inside the store.
Hana
Hana is energetic, expressive, and emotionally open in a way that contrasts the heavier pasts of the adults around her. She spends a lot of time with Aoi and tends to see the world in a playful, imaginative way.
She doesn’t have a complicated history—she’s more focused on the present, often turning ordinary moments into something fun or creative. Drawing, talking, laughing, or getting excited over small things comes naturally to her.
Even without realizing it, she softens the atmosphere around her, especially in contrast to the more serious backgrounds of the people nearby.
Group Dynamic
What ties everyone together isn’t a shared past—it’s the fact that they all ended up in the same place after leaving or surviving different versions of the assassin world.
Sakamoto stepped away from it completely but still acts as the anchor for everyone else. Shin is halfway in and halfway out, trying to live normally while still being capable of violence when needed. Lu left a structured, dangerous legacy behind to build something quieter. Heisuke never truly got in but carries the skills of someone who did. Aoi and Hana sit outside that world entirely, giving the group a sense of normalcy that doesn’t exist anywhere else in their lives.
The store becomes the middle ground where all those lives collide—uneven, messy, but oddly stable in its own way.
