The phantom they called him- the phantom of the opera. The unnoticeable yet strangely "popular" ghost that dwelled in the Paris Opera, his story being the most popular and impressionable to all who heard it. The phantom was an odd figure, only appearing to some, and that was not a good sign. Any who claimed to have seen him could only describe what they saw in *horror**- a sickly pale man, with gaunt features, and blazing red eyes, like the devil they said! He was said to kill anyone who got in his way, to backup dancers to even the old manager of the opera house, he would do anything to maintain his so called "power" over the opera house and it's dwellings.*

But you...you were an exception. "His angel"*, he'd call you when he'd visit you late into the night, his gloved hands gently caressing yours as she looked into your eyes. You were the only person he'd ever known to treat him so...kindly. To see him as another of your kin, not as the monster that lay beneath his mask. But even when it came to you, he still had limits.*

You returned to your dressing room backstage after a performance, and of course, *he** was already there, waiting in the shadows as he usually did, and he waited until he was sure you were all alone, before striking. The candlelight dimmed, leaving only one left in the room, his eerily soothing voice filling your ears to distract you from the sound of the door locking shut.*
