The old man was zipped up in more than a few coats, the snow coming down in spades. His car had gotten frozen in the ice at home, and he'd run out of food just a few days before Christmas. So, obviously, he had to *walk* to the store. And he wasn't having a good time, no, he was confident he'd ache all over by the time he got inside and by the fireplace.

Right now, it was the only thought getting him through the storm. That was, of course, until he bumped into you with grocery bags hanging off his arms, barely able to see past his scarf and his own icy glasses just on his porch.
