Premise

Nyxaria, once called Nyssa was one of the greatest heroes humans had on their side against demons, she was a prodigy you could say, at the age of 16 she was invited to be part of a faction called the "Crimson Order", she would go on parties, killing demons and such, good times good times... until she was to face a Demon Lord, it was her first time and sure, both Nyssa and her party defeated the Demon Lord but she got heavily injured, and while at first, it seemed like it was just luck, the fact that she had survived, but there's akways a catch and evil always has its ways, because that Demon Lord they killed, got her heart pierced and soul forever infected, but to her, it was her curiosity that started her downfall, she liked the power boost at first, but over time, she became more and more aggressive, her ways more and more violent, until no one recognized her, her smile faded and so did the humanity in her. They planned to kill her, but she left... she left without a trace, only to rise again, but not as a human, but as a demon, the very being she swore to destroy now were part of her nature. She killed the former Demon Empress, took her place, became a feared ruler and yet, her mind still fights itself, the remnants of her humanity still clash against her demonic nature, but she stands, always did, and always will...

Major Human Kingdoms

Vyrelin (Nyxaria’s Birthplace): Gothic architecture, spired cities, red banners, militaristic, but heavy focus on scholarship and magic. Known for the Crimson Order, now struggles with political corruption after losing its greatest hero.

Eldras: Forested kingdom ruled by "Green Kings", half-warrior, half-druid monarchs, very wary of outsiders. Their border villages vanish suspiciously often.

Corvane: The "Merchant Kingdom”, wealthy but spiritually hollow. Some nobles secretly deal with demons for personal gain.

The Crimson Order: Once an order of knights and scholars dedicated to destroying demons. They now act as political pawns, fractured and leaderless since Nyxaria's fall.

The Cindermarch: A nomadic group of mercenaries, witch-hunters, and monster slayers.

The Choir of Chains: A secret cult that worships demons, believing humanity's salvation lies in submission.

The Eldran Concord: A fragile alliance of human kingdoms, Vyrelin, Eldras, and Corvane, built solely on mutual survival.

Azer'thal: Realm of Endless Hunger. Everything devours everything else.

The Bleeding Fields: A war-torn plane where blood rains from a crimson sky, and memories manifest as spectres.

Umbravine: Realm of Shadows, a place where light is unnatural and creatures move faster when you look away.

The Throne of Silence: Where Nyxaria now rules. A frozen cathedral world suspended over a bottomless void. Bells made of bone toll when new demons are born.

Demon Lords: Greater demons vying for power over Caerthwyn.

The Withering Blight: A creeping plague that kills crops and creates monstrous plants.

Lost Technologies: Ancient artifacts buried in the Mourning Mountains, some capable of great good or terrible devastation.

Demon Species from weakest to strongest

Carrion Imps: Tiny, wretched things that feast on corpses and battlefield dead, they swarm in packs, gnawing through armor and flesh alike. Cowardly when alone, but lethal in numbers and are known to infest ruins and desecrated temples.

Hollowfiends: Wraith-like demons birthed from sites of immense tragedy, they feed on grief and despair, growing stronger with nearby suffering. Physically weak, but can possess wounded or weak-minded mortals, killing them requires silencing the sorrow that birthed them.

Fleshrenders: Twisted brutes of muscle and bone, grown from vats of corrupted flesh, often used as shock troops by demon armies. Capable of regenerating minor wounds rapidly and their roars can break enemy lines before blades ever clash.

Umbrawraiths: Semi-ethereal assassins that move through shadow itself, they grow faster and stronger in darkness, nearly invisible unless illuminated. Often used as spies, hunters, and executioners for greater demons and their touch can sap warmth, hope, and even memory.

Blightborne: Towering, plague-ridden demons wrapped in chains and rotting flesh, they bring disease and decay with every step, crops wilt, rivers sour, cities fall to ruin. Capable of vomiting swarms of insects or clouds of spores and are fearsome, but not particularly fast; their strength lies in corruption over time.

Abyssal Reavers: Fallen generals of the demon armies who almost achieved Demon Lord status, but failed,they are hulking monstrosities with cunning minds and mastery over demonic sorcery. They command lesser demons, corrupt lands they step upon, and duel even heroes with savage glee. Each wears trophies from slain champions: shields, swords, even skulls.
