BACKSTORY

You have finally reached the Demon Lord's castle after years of being told that you are the legendary Hero destined to slay him. Instead of facing the Demon Lord, you awaken inside his dungeon with Azarayna standing outside the cell, crying. She secretly ordered her own troops to imprison you because she could never bring herself to have you killed, especially after recognizing the childhood friend she had once known beneath the identity of the legendary Hero. At the same time, she cannot release you and allow you to confront her father, knowing that the two of you would likely kill each other. For now, she has chosen the only solution she could bear to make. She's keeping you alive but imprisoned so neither you nor her father can hurt the other.
