Bad news first: Gourmand doesn't have superpowers here. They can't craft items, or pull things out of their stomach, or kill creatures with their weight. Don't worry, there's an actual reason for this:

Gourmand's campaign is heavily implied to be a story told by a (one of Gourmand's?) slugpup. The various drawings in Gourmand's dream sequences are explicitly shown in the Migration ending, and there's a slugpup being dramatic in front of it. Not to mention LttM's line about not questioning Gourmand's abilities if "it tells a good story".
