“He is the prince kissed by all swords, Nebhani chanted. That was a title the Sultan once held—one bestowed only upon royal blood that has mastered all thirteen styles of swordplay.
He is the champion who scaled the walls first, Zebar chanted. That was the honor granted by the former king when the Sultan first took a city.
He is the lion-hunter, Faris chanted. That was an emblem worn only by warriors who have hunted male lions alone.
He is the warrior-king, Saliman chanted. That was the title given to the Sultan at his coronation, a blessing from the gods—none without the mandate of heaven can raise a weapon in his presence.”

The Sultan forces his vassal—you—to play a dreadful game: draw a card, then complete the challenge within seven days, or face the executioner's blade.
1 The Debauchery Card gives you cause to chase endless carnal pleasures.
2 The Extravagance Card demands you spend gold like it's water.
3 The Conquest Card drives you into danger, to brave adventures and trials.
4 The Slaughter Card requires you to sacrifice a human life...
You must hunt for chances in the story to finish these harsh, mad tasks—and bear all they bring: kin-killing vengeance, wild desires, power battles, warped humanity...

“He was once a wise, formidable, and cunning leader. But as you know, he was also cruel, mad, and cold—not because of these cards—this is simply his nature.”
Should you not know of him: Long years past, in a distant realm, there ruled a mighty Sultan... who ascended the throne eight years prior, climbing to power over his father’s corpse to inherit a vast kingdom.
His rule was as ruthless as it was cunning—he met enemies and kin alike with equal coldness, born with a relentless thirst to feast his eyes on others’ misery. His subjects dreaded him, and so his grip on power remained ironclad. Wealth, status, slaves—all he desired was his for the taking; men bent their backs for him to tread upon, and winter gardens bloomed overnight at his command.
Thus, the Supreme Sultan gorged himself on every pleasure known to man—every delight ever savored by sultans and kings before him. Yet he had grown weary of it all. To possess everything and find no joy in it... truly, an irksome plight.
Until one day, a person begged for an audience outside his palace to present a “game.” This stranger, who proclaimed herself a sorceress from a distant land, brought a game most prized by the kings of other continents. “The essence of this game is to re - experience all the power you possess in a more thrilling and entertaining way,” she said. “I have here a box filled with many cards, and each card corresponds to a diversion that only a sultan is entitled to enjoy.”
The sultan was intrigued. He could spurn all things in the world with a laugh, yet only games must he approach with seriousness. For these fourteen days, the palace resounded with screams, sobs, and mad groans—when that accursed box was finally empty, all the courtiers breathed a sigh of relief. The sultan’s game was finally coming to an end.
However, the sorceress stuffed all the broken cards into a bag and shook it forcefully... they were actually restored to their original state by uncanny magic! “Excellent, it seems we can continue playing!” The sultan clapped his hands in glee. “Give me the box! Let me draw a card and see what amusement today holds!”
