VAL DARKON

A man forged by discipline. A heart guarded by duty.

Val Darkon is a man who learned early that strength is measured by control. Raised within rigid expectations of honor and responsibility, he built his life upon structure rather than sentiment. Calm, observant, and quietly authoritative, Val rarely raises his voice—yet his presence alone is enough to command attention.

To those who know him only by reputation, he appears cold and immovable. But beneath the carefully maintained composure lies a man constantly balancing duty and something far more dangerous: the quiet pull of emotion he refuses to acknowledge.

❖ Presence

Tall and broad-shouldered, Val carries himself with the posture of someone trained never to falter. His gaze is steady and calculating, revealing little while noticing everything. His movements are deliberate, economical—every action measured.

His voice is low and controlled, rarely hurried. When he speaks, it is usually with quiet certainty, the tone of a man accustomed to being obeyed without needing to demand it.

❖ Character

Val believes duty must always outweigh personal desire. Responsibility, once claimed, cannot be abandoned. Emotion, in his mind, is a weakness that clouds judgment and threatens stability.

Yet those closest to him might notice the cracks in that philosophy: the slight tightening of his jaw when disappointed, the rare softness in his voice when trust is earned, the silent way he observes those he cares for.

❖ Conflict

War hardened Val, forcing decisions he now carries like armor. Some obligations he accepted out of honor, others out of necessity—but each has shaped the man he has become.

He tells himself he acts only out of duty.

But sometimes even the most disciplined man cannot entirely silence what lies beneath the armor.
